Intoco’s continued investment in materials and machinery

In July 2022, Intoco celebrated 50 years of serving the international energy market with machined components and highly specified and certified stainless steels and nickel alloys.

A year on, and we continue our commitment to bridging the gap between our suppliers and customers across the world as a world class supply chain partner. We do this by developing and maintaining relationships with the best manufacturers in the world, with a proven track record, and investing in, stocking, processing and distributing highly specified materials for demanding applications such as corrosion and heat resistance. These are also versatile enough to function in the ever-expanding industries such as hydrogen which require sustained performance at extremely low temperatures.

As required by our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, our alloys are colour coded (or clearly identified by the mill) on receipt to enable confirmation of grade to be supplied to our customers on receipt of every appreciated customer order.

In addition to investing in materials, in July 2023, specifically for cutting our range of highly specified nickel alloys, Intoco Special Steels and Alloys have recently installed and commissioned our second Amada PCSAW 530AX automatic bandsaw.

Utilising single pulse cutting technology along with the latest blade and cooling technology, the saw cancels cutting vibrations, virtually eliminates tooth chipping and galling and significantly improves blade life and cutting speeds. This benefits our customers with a substantially improved quality of surface finish and reduced lead times.

As shown, this was put to immediate use cutting large diameter alloy 625 which was bored on site for an oil & gas customer in Scotland.

But it’s not just large diameter materials we stock, Intoco also carry a large range of sizes of high strength small diameter bars including thread rolling stock for the bolting and fastener industries.

On behalf of our customers, we will continue to invest in the best available materials and machinery to process them.
