Invitation to DBT Roundtable on UKCA marking

What is it?

This is an invitation to attend an industry roundtable with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) on the UK’s post-Brexit approach to UKCA product markings.

During April and May, DBT are holding a series of roundtables which will help them to understand how to make the UK’s approach to product marking as easy as possible for industry whilst ensuring continued protection for consumers. These events will be held in London, Edinburgh and Manchester.

You can sign up to attend one of these sessions HERE.

The most appropriate sessions for us are:

Simple Pressure Vessels & Pressure Equipment & Equipment for Use Outdoors & Equipment for Potentially Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX) & Gas Appliances on:

• London, 12 April, morning
• Edinburgh, 26 April, morning
• Manchester, 4 May, morning

Why is it important?

While mandatory UKCA marking has been postponed, it is vital that the government understands the issues and challenges that UKCA marking can cause. They have been guilty in the past of not consulting widely enough. This is an opportunity to have your say and affect the course of future implementation.

If you are unable to attend but would like to make your views known, please contact the BVAA team at Banbury.
