Strong relationships with manufacturers, solid engineering skills and a strong emphasis on customer service have increased sales for HSP Valves, a leading supplier of automation and valves to the energy sector. Here, HSP Managing Director, Derrick
Mackenzie, discusses why he believes this approach will contribute to continued success in the domestic and international markets.

“HSP Valves is much more than just a supply organisation. The company provides a complete service for the supply of actuated and manual valves to end users, contractors, FPSO operators, module suppliers and distributors.

For 43 years, we have been supplying actuated, and manual valves to clients in all corners of the World and have built a reputation for the delivery of the most complex packages from API 10K Riser ESDV for an FPSO operator in Southeast Asia to Gas over Oil Actuated Welded Body Ball Valves with 5m high extensions for a Middle East Energy Operator.

For clients, our technical understanding, responsiveness, and close connections with manufacturers have cemented our role as a trusted technical partner and advisor to the energy sector. These attributes have translated to a significant upturn in sales for the business, with clients relying on our problem-solving credentials to fulfil their critical equipment needs during this challenging period for the industry.

HSP moved into the next phase in its history. Earlier this year, the senior management team acquired the HSP UK and Edgen Murray valve businesses across Eastern Hemisphere, bringing an expanded footprint of facilities under the HSP Group. The HSP Group now includes entities in Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali Free Zone in the UAE and Doha, Qatar.”
