At this time of year, we are extremely busy with graduations, current delegates ongoing learning and development and the start of the recruitment process for 2025!

Cohort 6 – Celebrate their graduation!

In June, Cohort 6 were re-united to celebrate their successful completion of FLP with the award of their CMI certificates. Here’s what some of our delegates said:

“The BVAA’s FLP is a brilliant course… I have massively grown as an individual and I believe in myself much more now. I always had the attributes and skills to be successful, but the FLP helped to unlock them, and the confidence and happiness I’ve experienced whilst on the course is second to none.

I’ve not only grown my network, but I’ve made friends for life and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it, thank you.” Lauren Gower, Sales Executive, GPEC Ltd.

“The FLP programme is by far the best experience I have had in my career. It gave me the confidence to really push on and open up the management skills I knew I had.”  Reece Clarke, Assistant Works Manager, AMB.

“Being a part of this course has not only built my management skills and lay the foundation for my career, but also has led me to acquire actionable frameworks and strategies to succeed as a leader. Thank you FLP 6!”  Philip Mott, Machine Shop Chargehand, LB Bentley.

Cohort 7 – Their Journeys Continue…

This year’s cohort are in the middle of their journey. They are busy completing a series of Personal Development courses, valve-industry experiences, networking opportunities, technical training and visits to centres of engineering excellence. Cohort 8 – Call for Delegates!

We now looking to recruit the next team of delegates for 2025! So, if you are a BVAA member company and have identified a rising star in your business, who you and they want to grow and transform, contact us today.

How to Apply

Candidates must be nominated by a senior BVAA member company executive and provide an up-to-date CV and application letter. The deadline for applications is 31st October 2024. For further details contact rob@bvaa.org.uk.

When asked ‘Why would you recommend FLP to colleagues?’, here’s what a couple of delegates said:

“If the opportunity to take part in FLP comes up, you must do it! These opportunities do not come often, and I can guarantee it will change you both professionally and personally. One of the best things I could have done, and it will stay with me for the rest of my life. My entire outlook is different after completing the Future Leaders Programme.” Chloe Ellis, Group Sales & Marketing, KTH Hydraulics.

“I would 100% recommend FLP to any of my colleagues and have already; it’s honestly been the best experience of my professional life. The mixture between the key industry experience and knowledge I have gained, paired with the understanding of management techniques and tools I have been given, I feel, has advanced me as a person years further into my career. I’d even go as far as to say is I’d recommend people to join the industry so that they can join the BVAA, so that they can experience the FLP.” Liam Dawson, Assistant QHS Manager, AMB.
