Hot Spot - ISO 5752 2021 Metallic Flanged Valves Face-to-face and Centre-to-face Dimensions Published
What is it?
ISO 5752:2021 Metal valves for use in flanged pipe systems -Face-to-face and centre-to-face dimensions has been published and is available to purchase. This third edition of the standard specifies established face-to-face and centre-to-face dimensions for metal valves to permit a degree of dimensional interchangeability. It is intended to be used in valve product standards and has been prepared by ISO TC/153 having last been revised in 1982. The major changes from the previous edition are the inclusion of higher pressure classes for many product series, along with the amendment of several size ranges to cover current market requirements. The new edition also includes Annexes on the relationship between DN and NPS as well as the origin of each basic series of dimensions, including cross references to EN 558.
Why is it Important?
ISO 5152:2021 will be widely used by new and updated ISO valve product standards to specify standard face-to-face and centre-to-face dimensions. The scope of the standard is limited to valve types that have an ISO product standard, but it also includes other valve types were a significant international demand justifies inclusion in the document.
Supersedes
This standard cancels and replaces ISO 5752:1982.
