BVAA Regional Dinner & Supplier Day a Success!
(L to R) Olympic Ski Jumper, Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards and Top Comedian Hal Cruttenden
We hosted our Regional Dinner last week which was a resounding success and enabled members and BVAA staff alike to meet face-to-face. The dinner delivered an excellent and lively guest speaker, world famous Olympic Ski Jumper, Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards. He described his remarkable rise to fame and to the very top of the slopes. His down to earth nature and self-deprecating humour however was a hit with members and he even stayed on after.
Following dinner, we had the utterly hilarious Hal Cruttenden who is known for his appearance on shows such as ‘Live at the Apollo’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’ to name a few. His quick wit and sharp humour provided a whole lot of laughter and had many of us in stitches.
The BVAA Supplier Day offered an opportunity for members to meet with buyers from valve and actuator manufacturers with 1-2-1 meetings and an exhibition area.
Members were able to showcase products, represent their company and build all important working relationships. In total 124 meetings were facilitated.
Networking offers an avenue to create long term relationships, a trade of ideas and mutual trust which can often only be achieved from BVAA meetings. Many members commented on how there is currently nothing like this event in industry and how valuable it is in contrast to big trade shows.
