Comment by BVAA CEO Rob Bartlett
Throttling up!
Is it the glorious sunshine? Is it the newfound air of freedom we’re all feeling after two years of lockdown? Or is it perhaps the proverbial tender green shoots of a recovery? Whatever it is, there’s a definite whiff of optimism and joy about at the moment.
From BVAA’s perspective, we’ve just held our first desktop exhibition for a considerable while, being viable again now the EPCs a feel confident enough to let us back in their buildings.
BVAA also recently hosted a fabulous few days at Formby Hall with our Conference and Golf Day, and we also had an absolutely amazing exhibition at IVS Bergamo – I doubt I’ve ever been to a jollier trade show in my life! It oozed class from start to finish.
As regular readers will know, especially close to my heart is the BVAA Future Leaders Programme, and we are now moving into the development zone, where we see our delegates truly emerge and blossom into the talented individuals we and their employers instinctively knew they could become.
Karen Webb and I have also been extremely delighted to be able and get out to meet with members again, and indeed go about recruiting new members to the Association. If you would like us to visit – just let us know!
Finally, after holding back during the crisis, we’ve rounded out our growing Secretariat Team with a new recruit this month in Neil Broadhurst, tasked with managing the BVAA’s training function. It’s great to have a noisy, bustling office environment again – it’s been too long in coming.
