MCP Engineering Plastics has its own range of Modified PTFE materials, processed in Italy by our colleagues at Fluorseals.

fluteck™ P 1050

Modified PTFE Standard Grade is Modified PTFE for Ram Extrusion, Compression and Isostatic molding.

fluteck™ P 1550

Premium Grade is Modified PTFE for Ram Extrusion. NORSOK M 710 approved.

Modified PTFE

Flexibility, transparency, heat bonding, dielectric constant.

The modified PTFE results from an evolution of synthesis processes involving copolymerization with a variety of co-monomers, thus allowing its development and refinement.

While maintaining the main features of virgin PTFE, the modified PTFE significantly improves flexibility, thermal binding capacity, weldability, transparency, insolubility and much more.

The valve industry uses PTFE for a wide range of parts, such as Ball valve seats, seals & gaskets. Some of the benefits of modified PTFE are:

• Modified PTFE is stronger and more durable.

• There is less deformation under load.

• Modified PTFE has reduced permeability, which can lead to a longer life cycle in applications.

• Improved creep resistance.

If you want to know more about our Modified PTFE range and how our materials can help with your applications, feel free to contact our Sales Manager, John Kay, who will be happy to discuss your requirements in more detail.
