Industrial Valve Summit Opens Call for Papers

Continuing to grow, to confirm itself as the international event of reference dedicated to industrial valve technologies and flow control solutions. This is the mission with which IVS - Industrial Valve Summit, scheduled from 19 to 21 May 2026, in the halls of the Bergamo Trade Fair (Italy), is approaching the sixth edition of the eagerly awaited event.

At the heart of the strategies of the organisers, Confindustria Bergamo and Promoberg, lies the aim of further increasing the quality of the moments and topics of discussion that structure the IVS scientific programme. From one edition to the next, the calendar of conferences and conventions has established Industrial Valve Summit as an appointment that goes beyond the exhibition dimension. The event is a meeting place where change can be interpreted and the latest technological innovations can be explored, analysing the challenges of the sector and future scenarios, in order to support the supply chain in a concrete way.

More than a year before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the organisers have already presented the Scientific Committee and the guidelines of the IVS 2026 scientific programme, officially opening the Call for Papers. All thanks to the valuable collaboration of VALVEcampus, the association for the training of Italian industrial valve manufacturers, which has always been the scientific partner of the Industrial Valve Summit.

The scientific programme is structured around six themes: Standardization and standards development; Digital technologies applied to valves, actuation and control; Valve design and materials for severe services; Advanced sealing solutions for industrial valves; AI applied to mechanical design, procurement and manufacturing; Additive manufacturing. In addition, the panel discussions will explore many other topics of great importance for the future of the industry, such as hydrogen development and innovation, fugitive emissions, sealing materials and PFAS.

Industrial Valve Summit Scientific Committee invites you to submit an abstract for IVS 2026 and share your knowledge, experience and ideas with your valve industry peers. The deadline for abstracts submission is October 31st, 2025. The best papers will be presented by the authors during the IVS conference and workshops.

The fifth edition of the Summit, which took place from 14 to 16 May, 2024, wrapped up with a final influx of 15,000 visitors from 69 countries. The public marked a 25% higher attendance than at the fourth Summit, when the city of Bergamo attracted 12,000 guests. The protagonists of IVS 2024 were the 325 exhibitors (+13% compared to the 2022 edition) from 14 countries: the international element has proved to be booming, with foreign companies doubling compared to the fourth edition and reaching 20% of the total number of exhibitors. The wide-ranging scientific programme of IVS 2024 also underwent great development, with 52 events including conferences, round tables, workshops, case studies and laboratories, for a schedule over 50% greater than that of IVS 2022.
